Ingressing Data

All data ingressed into the Trusted Research Environment is inspected and approved by SDF Data Operations.

For importing/ingressing data please include the following information in your request:

• Which project the ingress is related to, and why the data to be ingressed needs to be in the TRE? 
• A direct link to the file download, or the download page, of any source files.
• If the data is not identical to the downloaded source, summarise how and why it was modified.

Please note:

• We may need additional information, or data governance guidance, to pre-approve your request.
• Once your request is pre-approved, you will be provided with a secure upload link "Serv-U" by email.  For security reasons we can only receive data through through this secure route.
• We may need to take additional Information Governance advice once the data is recieved.

Note that ingress requests may take additional time to process depending upon complexity, size or sensitivity.
